The Hand Analyzer is a free American Mahjong tool that reads a rack of tiles and tells you which card category the hand is closest to, which tiles to keep, and what to pass in the Charleston. It runs in the browser with no signup and no app, and it explains the reasoning rather than just naming a verdict.

What the Hand Analyzer is for

The analyzer reads a rack you tap in. Once eight or more tiles are on it, it scores the hand from 0 to 100, names the card categories the tiles come closest to, lists any groups already made, and marks your keepers and your pass candidates for the Charleston, with a reason for each pass.

The skill it builds is the decision you make right after the deal, which way your tiles want to go and which of them to pass in the Charleston. Use the read as a second opinion. Make your own call first, then compare. Where the two differ, the reasons for each category and each pass show what you weighed differently.

How a session goes

  1. Tap in a rack of thirteen tiles, from a game you played or a practice deal at home.
  2. Before you look at the read, decide which way you would go and which three tiles you would pass first.
  3. Compare your call with where the analyzer says the hand wants to go, and read the reason it gives for each pass.
  4. Tap a tile to take it off, add a different one, and read again to see how far one tile moves the read.

The analyzer is free and needs no signup. Club membership adds the AI coach on the tiles you tapped in.
