Definition
A concealed hand is one the card requires to be completed entirely in your own rack, with no calling except for the final winning tile.
Concealed hands are harder because only the winning tile may come from a discard. Calling any set ends every concealed line, and a player whose exposures fit only lines marked C has a dead hand.
At the table
Concealed hands are harder because you draw your way there and cannot take shortcuts from the discard pile. The mistake is starting one and then calling out of frustration halfway, which makes the hand dead on the spot. Decide at the Charleston whether you are willing to play a whole hand without calling, and if you are not, pick an exposed line.
