What is a jokerless in American Mahjong?

Definition

A jokerless hand is one completed without using any jokers, which many groups pay a bonus for and which some card lines require.

Lines marked as jokerless on the card cannot contain a joker at all. Groups differ on the bonus, so agree before the first deal.
