An Odd Numbers hand is built from ones, threes, fives, sevens and nines, arranged in pungs, kongs and pairs across one or more suits.
How to recognise it in a deal
Several ones and nines together, or a rack with almost no even numbers, is the tell. Sort the rack by suit as usual, then read across it by number rather than down one suit, because these hands can use two or three suits and reading suit by suit skips over them.
