Definition
Singles and Pairs is the section of the card whose hands are made only of single tiles and pairs, so no joker can be used anywhere in them.
No jokers means every tile has to be the real tile. Because these hands can never hold a joker, they earn no jokerless double under League rules. Attempt one only when the deal already holds several of the pairs.
At the table
No joker can appear anywhere in these hands, so every tile has to be the real tile. The mistake is attempting one on hope. Unless the deal already holds several of the pairs, you are signing up to draw perfectly for a whole hand, and a wall game is the likely ending.
